Harry with Honeybell

This is Harry Long with the Plane called Honeybell, named for my mother whom he called Honey bell. His Lt. who was the Pilot wasn't married and would have normally named the plane, but he told my Dad to name it what ever he wanted, that he was good luck since he had just won a Bronze star for having had never lost a plane due to mechanical failure.

This is a picture of Harry Long, (top left) and a group of his buddies near the beach in Guam in 1950. They were in the 19th Bomb Group at this time If anyone knows who these other three guys are please holler.
